This place does it right and better than most Korean BBQ's in San Diego. They make it simple and easy to get everything you want. You don't have to order the meats off a big confusing menu, just head up to the buffet and fill up your plates. They have 20 plus different cuts of meat and seafood and tons of delicious side dishes. They are fast, friendly, the grills are hot and the food is delicious. 5 stars all the way across

My wife and I just recently discovered this place conveniently located across from Target in El camino, we enjoy Korean bbq but this one is a little different because its a self serve buffet, they have a lot of options in terms if meat, meats are in good quality, they have more than 4 options of sides, soup, and pot stickers, service is too notch everyone was very attentive, we barely waited to have our griller change if needed. The best part is the complimentary ice cream at the end, the vents are a little loud however, it does the job we barely noticed any smokes, the restaurant is clean in general.

If you don't regularly go into the plaza where this is located you can't tell its there. We've passed by this resto so many times but never tried. We came in on a Saturday, around 4:30 pm and was seated immediately. Place was bright, clean and lots of tables. Its nice that its self serve for everything except for drinks. Pick as much sauce as you want, pick a few meats of different kinds so you have a chance to try them all. Plenty of sides, they also had sesame ball, gyoza and miso soup. Meat quality is good but not the best. Some of the meats were a little tougher than others, we liked the brisket the best out of all. Couple seafood options as well. They also had free ice cream after your meal. They had green tea, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate when we visited. They were very quick to change out grill, you don't even have to ask if they pass by you and they see its dark, they'll change it. We'll come back again, this place. is a good option.

Love this place! This is one of the best KBBQ places in SD...we always have the best here. Excellent selection all the traditional meats, and they have seafood too!! Always high quality meat, my favorites are the short ribs and bulgogi, thats what I always start with and then work my way to seafood. There's a wide range of veggies and side dishes. They have the usual beer and soju for KBBQ and it's super are cheap! For non-alcoholic bev, they have boba and Thai iced tea, which is my favorite. Pro tip: they serve Thrifty ice cream!! You'll have to ask the wait staff to scoop it for you. It's up front by the front entrance so don't forget because it's sooo good! Overall, it's one of the best KBBQ restaurants with great and friendly service, and it's very reasonably priced and affordable.

M BBQ is an outstanding restaurant that offers a unique dining experience as the first self-serve Korean BBQ joint (that I know of!). The moment we walked in, we were captivated by the array of meats available for grilling. From succulent bulgogi to mouthwatering short ribs, the selection was unparalleled, and we couldn't resist indulging in these delectable options. The flavors were simply exquisite, with the bulgogi and short ribs stealing the show as the absolute highlights. To complement the delicious meats, M BBQ offered a delightful assortment of sides. The potato salad and bean sprouts were particularly noteworthy, providing a refreshing and satisfying accompaniment to the grilled delights. However, the true gem of our dining experience was the dessert. They served Asian-style donuts that piqued our curiosity, and we decided to pair them with their delectable ice cream (the only item not self-serve, just a heads up). The combination was a match made in heaven, resulting in an unbelievably tasty treat that left us craving more. The staff at M BBQ were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, it would have been even better if they had been more attentive to our needs, especially when it came to changing the grill. We found ourselves having to repeatedly request assistance, whereas other establishments proactively manage this process to prevent the grill from burning. Nevertheless, considering the price point and the overall quality of the dining experience, this minor inconvenience was easily forgiven.

This place is great. There was no wait on a Tuesday lunch. In fact it was kind of empty. The selection of the food isn't the most, the kalbi was like in weird shapes, but they were delicious. You get your own sauces and they had available tons of veggies, marinated beef, pork and chicken selections. It's not exactly the most premium place, but the fact that it's an ayce for $21.99, it's a freaking deal. The soda's are $2.99 with unlimited refills so I got my root beer game on and it got wild with 3-4 refills and me consuming like 10-13 kalbi and 10 shrimps. I took no prisoners along with boat load of lettuce. The lettuce was fresh as I laid the meat with their house hot sauce and it was unreal. It's a mid-tier ayce kbbq for $21.99 and it is as advertised. Service was friendly and prompt. No complaints here. We'll be back.
